WRS is seeking a Civil Construction Supervisor to join our client for a long term contract opportunity. This role offers weekly pay, benefits, and overtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor job site safety and environmental performance, ensuring contractors implement necessary protections for their workers.
- Oversee contractors and subcontractors within assigned project areas, ensuring tasks are executed per scope and schedule.
- Facilitate design deliverables to ensure continuous and efficient construction activities.
- Act as the main job site contact for contractors in the assigned project area.
- Oversee material deliveries and coordinate releases to contractors.
- Lead project safety meetings, assist in incident investigations, and actively participate in safety initiatives.
- Identify, manage, and resolve nonconformance issues, reporting them to the Construction Manager.
- Assist with administrative tasks and maintain records per the Construction Execution Plan.
- Support construction estimating, scheduling, cost control, and reporting for work performed within assigned areas.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Technical degree or equivalent supervisory experience.
- Trade school certification or journeyman status in relevant disciplines.
- 5–10 years of on-site experience in major projects or heavy civil/industrial construction.
- Demonstrated commitment to health and safety in planning and execution phases.
- Strong leadership and motivational skills to lead focused site teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of EPCM project delivery models and related disciplines.
- Strong understanding of industry standards and construction best practices.
- Experience in a comparable project of similar scope and location.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to operate effectively in collaborative environments.
- Proven ability to professionally resolve contractor issues and avoid conflict escalation.
